Why air on this car

The Audi A4 B8 Sedan/Avant, built with quattro all-wheel drive, sits its arches over wider wheels and tyres than the front-drive versions, and owners who lower it on fixed coilovers often find the front subframe or exhaust catching before the look is right. Air suspension gives you a genuinely low static height without that daily risk, plus a lift for speed bumps, steep driveways and multi-storey ramps.

The Avant is a common choice for owners who still use the car for its boot, so the ability to raise it again for a loaded motorway run matters more here than on a car kept purely for shows.

This car left the factory with electronically adjustable dampers, so the kit includes a cancellation kit that stops the dash flagging a fault once they are removed; the factory adaptive function itself does not carry over. The front mount is a pillowball with rubber isolation, sharpening steering feel slightly, while the original rear mount is retained. Lower tiers keep things simple and affordable; higher tiers add per-corner and height-sensing control with saved presets.

What's in the kit

Struts and bags

Struts and bags is the air suspension hardware without any management: four vehicle-specific struts with 36 levels of damping adjustment and the air bags that go on them. Choose it if you already run management you want to keep, or you are buying the RC1 or RC2 controller and tank separately.

Who it suits: Owners keeping their existing management or choosing their own, who need only the struts and air bags.

  • No tank, compressor, valves, remote or wiring included

Fitment notes

  • Front top mount: Pillowball rubber top mount. A pillowball bearing with a rubber element, sitting between the plain rubber and full pillowball options: some isolation back, with the bearing's location and camber adjustment kept.
  • Rear top mount: OE top mount. The kit reuses your car's original top mount rather than supplying a new one. Ride feel and camber stay as the factory set them.
  • Your car has electronic (adaptive) dampers. This kit is supplied with the matching electronic damping cancellation kit, which takes the place of the original dampers on the wiring so the car’s damping control system is satisfied.
  • Listed by the factory as: A4 B8 SEDAN/AVANT 4WD (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping).
  • Built to order — the typical lead time is around 21 working days from the date of purchase to UK delivery. We confirm the lead time for your kit before you pay.

Five years against oil leaks, with a service every two years

AirForce covers its air suspension struts against oil leakage for five years. To keep that cover, the struts need to come back for inspection and maintenance every two years; the manufacturer treats the service as a condition of the warranty, so book it in and keep the paperwork.

Damage caused by suspension components rubbing against an inflated air bag is not covered, which is why we ask your fitter to cycle the system to full height and check clearances before they hand the car back.

Compressors, air bags and the electronic control box and remotes carry the manufacturer’s separate terms, and electronic parts may need to go back to the factory for repair. Ask us for the current wording before you order.

None of this affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer. If a product is faulty, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply alongside the manufacturer’s warranty, and your contract is with us as the retailer.
