This page holds the controller software, fitting documents and common questions for AirForce kits. Everything here is the manufacturer’s own material, mirrored on our server so it is always available.
Image Downloader
The Image Downloader is a small Windows tool that lets you put your own image on the AirForce controller screen. It talks to the controller over a USB serial connection.
What you need
- A Windows PC with .NET Framework 2.0 or 3.5. On Windows 10 and 11 this is an optional feature; Windows will offer to install it the first time you run the tool.
- The USB cable supplied with your controller. A standard USB-A to mini or micro USB cable also works, depending on your controller model.
- An image file in JPG, PNG or BMP format. A landscape image close to the controller’s screen size gives the best result; the tool will scale it.
Steps
- Download and unzip the tool below. If Windows prompts you to install .NET Framework 3.5, accept and let it finish.
- Connect the controller to your PC by USB. Windows normally installs the USB serial driver itself. If the port does not appear, contact us and we will send the driver for your controller.
- Open the Image Downloader.
- Pick the COM port for the controller from the drop-down. If you are not sure which one, open Device Manager, expand Ports, and look for the entry that appears when you plug the controller in.
- Load your JPG, PNG or BMP.
- Click Download and wait for the progress bar to finish. Do not unplug the controller while it is writing.
The controller shows the new image the next time it starts.
Always the latest version
We mirror the manufacturer’s current file and check their download page automatically every few hours. The version number and date shown below come from our mirror, so if the manufacturer releases an update it appears here without you needing to go looking for it.

Common questions
Frequently asked questions
How long does fitting take?
The manufacturer quotes around three hours for Luxury and around two for Super Performance and Gold, on the basis that the kit bolts on with no cutting or welding. Allow longer for a first fit, for routing the lines and mounting the tank and compressor neatly, and for the clearance check at full height.
Will the car pass an MOT on air suspension?
Air suspension is not itself an MOT failure. The tester checks the condition and security of the suspension, that nothing fouls, and that headlamp aim and ride height are sensible at the time of test. Raise the car to a normal driving height before the test and make sure the system holds pressure.
What does it ride like?
That is largely up to you. The struts have 36 levels of damping adjustment, so you can set them soft for the motorway or firm for a quick road. Air bags change stiffness with pressure too, so ride height and ride quality are linked; most owners settle on a daily height and leave it there.
Is it all right in a British winter?
The system lives under the car like any other suspension, so salt and grit are the enemy of fittings and linkages rather than the bags. Keep the tank drained of moisture, check the air lines and connections when you change to winter tyres, and rinse the underside after salted roads.
What is the warranty?
Struts are covered against oil leaks for five years, provided they come back for service every two years. Compressors, bags and electronics have their own manufacturer terms, and your UK statutory rights sit alongside all of it. See our warranty page for the detail.
How do presets work?
On Super Performance, Gold and Diamond you set the car to a height, hold a memory button for two seconds, and the remote stores it. Press the button later and the car returns to that height. There are four memories, the fourth reserved for your lowest setting, and key-on recall can send the car to a chosen preset when you start it.
Can I use it every day?
Yes, the kits are designed as road suspension. Gold and Diamond are the easiest to live with because the height sensors hold a measured ride height whatever the load, so a boot full of shopping or four passengers does not change where the car sits.
How noisy is the compressor?
You will hear it run when the tank tops up. The kits include a silencer plate base and, from Super Performance up, a vibration-free mounting socket to keep that down. The RC controllers let you pick the pressures it switches on and off at, so it runs in short bursts rather than constantly.
Which management do I need?
If you want switches and a gauge, Universal. If you want a remote, Luxury. If you want each corner controlled separately with saved heights, Super Performance. If you want the car to hold an exact height regardless of load, Gold. If you also want nitrogen reservoir struts with separate compression and rebound, Diamond. Our comparison table sets it out side by side.
How long does delivery take?
Kits are built to order and shipped direct from the factory, typically around 21 working days from the date of purchase. We confirm the lead time for your specific kit and top mount choice before you pay, and we will tell you if the factory is closed or a part is on back order.
