AirForce RC2 air management (4-way, wireless remote)

Part AF-RC2

RC2 carries everything in RC1 and adds a Zero function for height-sensor kits. After fitting, one press fills the tank to 200 PSI, calibrates all four sensors, sets the car to memory 2 and shows each corner’s height as a bar chart. It warns you if the tank does not reach pressure within two minutes.

About this part

RC2 is the controller for Gold and Diamond systems. The four memory buttons, valve speed, key-on recall, AUTO self-levelling with its ADVANCE interval, Compressor Detect and the three compressor pressure bands all work exactly as on RC1, as does the 30, 35 and 40-minute overload protection with its 15-minute rest.

What RC2 adds is Zero, which you run once the height sensor kit is installed. Switch on Compressor Detect, start the compressor and press Zero. The screen shows the tank filling; once it reaches 200 PSI and the compressor stops, the controller zeroes the sensors on its own, moves the car to memory 2 and draws a bar chart of the height reading at each wheel. If the tank has not reached 200 PSI after two minutes a warning appears, and the compressor will not run for more than 40 minutes.

With calibration done, AUTO can compare measured height against the stored value and correct it while you drive, which is what makes the sensor kits hold the car at a set height whatever the load.

Key points

  • All RC1 functions: memories, speed, key-on, AUTO, ADVANCE, compressor control
  • Zero function calibrates the height sensor kit
  • Fills tank to 200 PSI automatically during calibration
  • Sets memory 2 and shows four-wheel heights as a bar chart
  • Warning if the tank does not reach 200 PSI within two minutes
  • Compressor limited to 40 minutes continuous running
